Latics have signed teenage midfield player Tom Adeyemi on loan from Premier League Norwich City.

The 19-year-old (pictured) will be staying at Boundary Park until January.

Adeyemi is a product of the Canaries' youth academy having joined them at the age of eight.

He made his first-team debut as a substitute against Colchester United on the opening day of the 2009/10 season.

Adeyemi made his first start in the Carling Cup tie against Yeovil three days later and that campaign made four starts and nine substitute appearances.

He also received an honour at the end of the campaign when he was named Championship apprentice of the year.

Last season Adeyemi spent the whole of the campaign on loan at npower League Two club Bradford City where he made 34 appearances scoring five goals.

Adeyemi last night played for Norwich in their 2-1 win against Everton at Carrow Road in the Barclays Premier Reserve League.
